A glass of Smoothies without added sugar delivers vital macro and micronutrients without unnecessary calories, making it a great companion on a weight loss journey.

In today’s blog, I’m sharing a simple yet powerful recipe — ABC Smoothie. ABC stands for Apple, Beetroot, and Carrot — a combination loaded with iron, folate, nitrate, calcium, fiber, and a wealth of vitamins and minerals. This Smoothie is excellent for increasing hemoglobin levels, boosting immunity, purifying the blood, and improving digestion. With regular consumption, it may help with conditions like anemia, constipation, and various skin concerns.

Equipment

  • Mixer Grinder
  • Knife

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Carrot
  • .5 Beetroot
  • 2 pinch Black Salt
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 inch Grated Ginger (optional)
  • 250 ml Water

Instructions
 

  • Wash well all the fruit and vegetables (Apple, Beetroot, Carrot, Ginger and Lemon)
  • Now take Apple, clean and chop them in cubes. Take Beetroot, Carrot and Ginger, peel and chop them also in cubes.
  • Put all chopped fruits and vegetables into mixer grinder, add black salt and lemon juice too.
  • Now add around 1/4th cup or 60 ml of water and grind it to make a thick paste.
  • See the consistency of the mix and add around 120 ml or 1/2 cup of water and grind it once more to mix it well.
  • Do not strain the juice consume it with fiber. Add more water if needed (I added 1/4th Cup water more) Our ABC Smoothie is ready! Serve and enjoy it!

Notes

  • Wash the vegetables and fruits compulsorily.
  • Do not peel the Apples, as its peel having so many vital vitamins and minerals.
  • While grinding for the first time, do not add more water otherwise you will not get a fine paste.
  • Use a fine strainer to strain the juice without fibers (stringy pulp) (In case of IBS).
  • The discarded fibers can be used in the making of healthy dosa, or cheelas.
  • For more health benefits drink freshly made Smoothie only.
  • Do not keep it for more than half an hour as it will start losing its healthy properties
